Week 1
In week one, Christian Alicea joined us to lead a workshop on live news directing. Christian is the Director of NBC Nightly News.
Week 2
This week Gabriel Almanzar introduced our students to Graphics and Studio Design. They got to experiment on Adobe Photoshop and create their own visuals.
Week 3
IWe were joined by CBS News Photojournalist Will Miller who showed our students his setup and how to tell stories through cinematography.
Week 4
Thank you to Cynthia Louissaint who joined us for Week Four!
She shared her career journey in the television industry and inspired our students at James Monroe to start their own paths to success.
Week 5
This week CBS News Executive Producer Chloe Jones joined us to introduce our students to news gathering, storytelling and television reporting.
Week 6
Television Executive Jose Andino joins us for Week Six of R&R Media Services at James Monroe.
He introduced our students to human resources, job searching, and interviewing.
Week 7
Week Seven was highlighted by a special visit from my friend and industry colleague, former ABC News President Kim Godwin, who generously shared her professional insights and personal wisdom with the R&R Media students at James Monroe High School.
Her visit left a powerful and lasting impression, inspiring and energizing the class.
Week 8
Welcome to Week 8 of R&R Media Services at James Monroe Campus. Alecia Reid from WCBS News joined us to give our students a hands-on look at local news reporting. They took on roles of camera operator, anchor, and reporter.
